Wilber at The Polar Plunge 2018

Wednesday Mar 28, 2018

It was a cold and rainy Saturday morning at Miller Park Lake in Bloomington, IL, but that did not stop The Wilber Group from coming together to participate in the annual Polar Plunge. The Plunge is an event hosted by law enforcement with all proceeds benefiting the Special Olympics. February 24th a total of 766 people joined together for the cause, with Wilber's team totaling 60 flannel wearing participants. It was 44 degrees the morning of the Plunge but the water was much colder! When asked what the water felt like, Wilber teammate Kalonn Knapp replied "It was so cold my body went numb instantly!" Everyone had a wonderful time supporting a great cause and most say they will be back next year!
